Calculator - photo vault

A calculator with a private media vault

Calculator - photo vault presents itself as a calculator, while also providing a place to keep photos and videos behind a PIN. It may suit people who want to separate some media from their regular gallery and prefer an app whose main screen looks like a familiar utility. The listing places it in Video Players & Editors, though its central purpose is private media storage rather than video editing.

How it works

Use the calculator interface for calculations; entering the app’s PIN opens the vault. From there, you can store and view photos and videos. The reference information also describes a private browser for bringing media into the vault, a decoy vault with separate access, and a setting that takes a photo after an incorrect PIN attempt. These are privacy features, not a guarantee that stored files cannot be found or recovered in every circumstance.

What to consider

The calculator disguise can make the app less obvious at a glance, but it does not replace broader device security. Anyone considering it should check how the vault handles backups, forgotten PINs and access to files before moving important media. A private vault is also different from a dedicated video editor: the available information describes storage and viewing, not a set of editing tools.

At a glance

Calculator - photo vault is made by FishingNet. Its Google Play rating is 4.84 out of 5, based on about 490,000 ratings, and the listing reports 10,000,000+ installs. Those figures offer a quick sense of how widely it has been used and how users have rated it; they do not establish whether it is right for your privacy needs. The call is yours.
